Upon taking a complete history of symptoms — including clenching or grinding, headaches, neck and shoulder soreness, clicking or popping in the joint area, and pain — and a thorough evaluation of the jaw muscles, temporomandibular joint anatomy, and bite, a diagnosis will be made and appropriate treatment options presented.
Treatment options include: exercises, bite adjustments, medications, and splint therapy, such as the NTI-tss splint which covers just the two front teeth.
